The first ferries to Ceuta and Tangier leave early, and in high season the port gets crowded. Sleeping in central Algeciras the night before lets you arrive at boarding rested, without depending on last-minute motorway traffic.

Our two buildings are 1.2-a 5-minute walk from the maritime station, about a 15-5-minute walk depending on the building: have dinner in the centre, rest in a full apartment and walk to your ship in the morning.

Practical tips for the night before your ferry

• Arrive at the maritime station as early as your ferry operator recommends — earlier if boarding with a vehicle.
• Have your documents ready: passport required for Morocco.
• Buy supplies the evening before: supermarkets next to the apartment, and a kitchen in the apartments that have one (check the listing).
• If your ferry leaves from Tarifa instead of Algeciras, it is about a 15-minute drive; buses also connect both towns.
